Educator
Education has always been at the core of what I do. I have been a tour guide at a number of world class attractions, from the Florida Everglades to the Eden Project. I am a fully qualified Secondary school science and biology teacher and early years EYPS with years of first hand teaching experience. I use a variety of tools, including engagements, workshops and lectures to engage audiences of all ages in relevant and often challenging subjects.

Having worked as a school teacher with children from nursery to college level I have a good understanding of the curriculum and the requirements of children in schools today. I visit schools to do storytelling sessions, run beach school classes and worked with schools to create term-long inspiration projects to engage students in creative writing. Some of which have featured on local radio and tabloids.

talks
A few years ago I began giving science based ‘lunch time lectures’ to adults and families on what I believe are core conversations on environmental and nature based subjects. These TED- like talks have proved to be very popular and impactful. With some audience members using a talk as a direct catalyst to starting a new businesses! Lecture topics include, but are not limited to; Compost Toilets, Edible Insects and De-extinction.
workshops
With a plethora of resources and engagement experience, I can offer pre-designed or bespoke workshops for your event, group or school. Popular workshops include, puppetry, storytelling story dice, team building ‘Giant Jig-saurus’ puzzle challenges and much more.
Wildlife and wellbeing
With a degree in Zoology, a lifetime involved in ornithology and a personal interest in health and fitness, I have combined them all into an ethos of nature based wellbeing. I have given talks on mental health, well-being and fitness and led many wildlife tours all over the world. I can offer wildlife walks in Cornwall, or your local area, with a focus on birds, butterflies and reptiles and talks and workshops on natural movement and health. Great for corporate business events or many other settings.
